Chin Ups, Power Snatch

Warm Up:
Jump Rope
Mobility stretches

3 rounds
9 x box jumps
6 x push ups
1 x pull ups

A word on the warmup – my “box jump” is some landing they have out here for the stairs at the back of the building.  Think it’s close to 36”.  Think I’ll get video of me jumping up on this, because THAT was a super pump.  I didn’t do it for the first couple of rounds, just couldn’t get up the sack to do it, but the 2nd and 3rd set…asked myself, “What’s the worst that happens?  I miss, I don’t catch myself, I lose a tooth.  What’s so big about that?”  And did it.  And realized I could go higher yet.  Flippin’ sweet.

SWOD:

Strict Chin Ups 3 x max reps

1 x 3, 1 x 2, 1 x 1 -- I am not a chin up zen master.

DWOD:

On the minute:
Perform 3 Power Snatches on the minute for 15 minutes.
*Start the clock. At the top of every minute perform 3 Power Snatches.  Use 70-80% of 1 RM for power snatches.

50kg.  Tried doing 60kg, but realized after 1st set this would be, technically speaking, stupid.  Need to read up on these.  My back hates me at the moment as does one knee…something I'm not doing right.

Yeah it’s probably not that big of a deal, but still, I’m going to shoot video of my jumping up on those stairs.  That’s kind of cool, I think.

A word on fear:  I’m usually afraid of these kinds of things, and that’s held me back in just about everything in my life.  Think I might have found some guts this morning.  We shall see.
